knocking and 16" arches

Post by youde4 »

Im getting some weird noises coming from somewhere under the front left of my van, i've recently replaced all the inner and outer c.vs except for one, so the logical answer was that it was the older cv. But after taking it apart I found it was still in really good condition, good boot, and still full of grease. I cleaned it a refilled it with lots of fresh grease but the noise persists. Its a faint knocking noise and was wandering if the front diff could be making it? Ive been using the front locker a few times recently, (not sure how much use it got with the previous owner) does anyone think its new use could have put some extra stress on it. would it be wise to change the oil for it and give it a service?

Any other suggestions would be appreciated!!

I also found these 16" arch replicas. For 130 euros there the cheapest by far ive seen. Has anybody got a set as im a bit worried there a bit naff as there 'homemade'

had a new noise recently and at first couldn't see what it was, but turned out to be a sheared drop link. The other one was corroded through too so its a new pair and set of polybushes for me...
What a long strange trip it's been

They're not 16 inch arch replicas but replicas of the Projektzwo wide arch kit.

They are simply bonded on and look great but TBH I would advise against use on a Syncro unless you really don't think you will be using it in anger.

I can supply them out of the UK for £120 posted.
