Hi
the right-hand burner on our Westy cooker has developed a fault. When lit, it shoots a yellow flame quite alarmingly high. The wife and I tried taking the burner apart, it is clean and not blocked. It was a little loose (the one on the left, which works fine, is tightly in place) so we unscrewed the vent on the left hand side of the kitchen unit and she pushed the burner up from underneath while I tightened it up properly from the top. Unfortunately it still doesn't work safely. Any suggestions? Don't want to singe my eyebrows at Camper Jam!

When just the gas is burning the flame is blue. A yellow flame is a gas/air mix so I'm guessing that there is air getting in before the gas exits at the hob ring. This is however just an educated guess.
E D I T sorry, my mistake, it's the other way round - yellow is insufficient air. Sorry about that
