2.1 oil suction pipe

Im now almost ready to put my 2.1mv engine back together (finally!). I finish my current job at the end of the month and lose my company car, so i have less than a month to get everything finished and the van running.

Ive blown the oil suction pipe out with an air compressor so its clear, but before that i did try removing it. I undid the bolt holding it in place and it does move from side to side abit but it doesnt seem to want to come out.

Im not that bothered about removing it now as ive blown through it, but im abit worrried it wont seal properly as its not totally tight in the crank case.

Can anyone give me some advice on whether it will be ok if its not a totally tight fit in the case, or if it needs removing?

Can anyone let me know if abit of movement in the suction pipe when not tightened is ok? I really need to hurry up and get the engine back together!
