Interior Upholstery cost

Post by Kezzer »

Hi
We are in the process of making our T25 all beautiful for our first summer trip to France. We have had a quote for £900 to have all new foam and handmade removable cushions especially made for bed/seat etc. We were wondering if this was a good price or a tad expensive??????!!
Cheers

Personally, I'd do it when you get back home - otherwise you'll spoil you holiday worrying about making a mess in your lovely new clean van :wink

Seriously though, there's a few threads on here recommending the work of a charitable organisation based near Exeter that do very nice work. I'll see if I can track them down if you can't find them
:ok

Thanks for quick reply! Unfortunately when we removed the old original covers, they disintegrated!! We have looked into Pluss but we are now in a race against time. Do you or anyone know how it works, ie, do they do the whole service of supplying foam and making it all or just covers with supplied foam? Thanks

Have a search on here for pluss, I think they can supply new foam as well as covers. I'm sure there's a link to their home page which has a phone number on it.
All the reviews I've seen have been good ones :ok

from http://www.VWCamperCurtains.co.uk

Can't remember exactly but think curtains rails and rear r'n'r cushions and covers came in well under £900
We want for the 4" 2 normal 2 memory option.

Turn around was very quick as well.

I had all the seats of my westie and the foam bed bit downstairs recovered for about £650 two years ago by Middlesex Motor Caravans. The workmanship was superb. However, I did not need new foam. They might be worth a try. They also import second hand VW vans for sale. :ok Patrick

Love your interior Kev...I've been thinking of getting mine done, have looked at traffic trim - your suggestion...very cool site and good stuff by the looks of things. I like your alloys, what make/type/size? Ash 8)

They are off a Y reg Benz ML.
they are 16" and fit without any mods to the wheel rim.
you just need 10mm spacers and longer studs (from Brickwerks)
with 215/60 X 16 tyres

Thanks to all for the advice. As we live an hour from Pluss we drove down and ordered all new foam and coverings including the roof beds and it came to £650. Its being done in a couple of weeks so will put up some pics.
Very excited.......!

My advice is to marry someone who's a whizz with a sewing machine! My good lady is covering my brand new foam as we speak. Saving a fortune. I still bought the non slip fabric for the underside from "PLUSS" in Exeter. Pam & Anne were very helpful.
Cheers
