New timing belt
I just got my timing belt replaced 3 days ago. Good god I was lucky i got it done when I did. The tensioner pulley was in a very bad way and would have completely broke after probably another 1000 miles. The belt was badly worn too and had a groove marked around it probably because of the bad pulley. So the guys who replaced it reset my valve and pump timing to factory spec. Apparently the pump was quite a bit off. They also replaced my fan belt and fixed my exhaust which had a broken rubber mount and 2 broken brackets which needed welding. So the van is driving much nicer now. No real increase in power but the acceleration is a lot smoother and it starts much easier in the mornings now. SO over all Im happy. Another 40,000 miles until it needs to be done again. And this time I wont put it off. It was 10,000 miles overdue a change this time.
Not something to procrastinate about.

You lucky guy!!! I have to check mine after that trip!! Today I am going to clean the underside of the engine... the turbo is black because all the oil from a leak in the rockets cover!
By the way the only problem about the van was that broken water hose! I am also a lucky guy!
