Hi
I Wondered if anyone can help, I am looking for a supplier for a pair of 1.9 DG Inlet Manifold Gaskets? Cannot seem to find any anywhere, GSF, or Just Kampers, Brickwerks etc, they all seem to be for Aircooled or diesel? Am I missing something really obvious?
Any help would be much appreciated.

Re: 1.9DG Inlet Manifold Gasket Supplier?
I did see a guy on youtube 'tother day who made his gaskets from teflon sheet (comes in various thicknesses). Seems a neat idea as it withstands high temperatures.
I haven't found any either so that was the route I was going....

£98 to get two gaskets? Me thinks not....
Make a pair - its not that hard.
Try this: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/LARGE-SHEET-GASKE ... 483aae76a3" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Few sell metal gasket sheet too.
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/SHEET-METAL-EXHAU ... 335819f887" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
or...and no idea if it would work although should in theory, is cut up a silicon bread tin? I know they withstand some shockingly high temperatures and would work for some applications on an engine. Just think outside the box and you'll soon find a solution. Just don't go paying through the nose for something that isn't worth the price tag attached to it - too much stuff like that around as it is.
I still think full gasket sets are ridiculously over-priced. I'd have thought £30 at most (considering whats there) but £100?? pah! Come to think of it, much of whats in that full gasket set could indeed be made with care. Pushrod seals no (which can be bought on their own anyway), but the rest yes.
Have a look at this lot for inspiration: http://www.youtube.com/results?search_q ... asket&aq=f" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Inlet port gasket would be a breeze in comparison

I've always made the majority of my own gaskets - well for the last 45 years anyway. A decent set of hole punches,scissors/craft knife is all you need. Sheet material is easily available - that is all that the off the shelf manufacturers use.
