Post by The Reverend Pimp Daddy »

over the last few days..............I've noticed that when I turn the ignition key there has been a short delay before the engine turned over, well this morning I had to roll downhill to start it.............Starter motor is reasonably new as is the bush..........My thoughts are the ignition switch...(black unit at rear of igmition switch.........Has anyone got a spare with key........Thanks in adavance :ok

had a few where it was the actual switching mechanism in the ignition that the loom plugs into, they are about £8 from gsf an JK im sure bricky will do them too. easy to fit... as i remember its steering wheel off indicator stalks off and a couple of other bits and bobs thena n alan bolt to release the ignition switch

BUT before you do all this unplug the loom plug in the new switch and turn it with a flat screwdriver and see if it works, if it does that was your problem THEN fit it
.. just make sure the coupling at the bottom of the steering column is back where it should be when you tighten the steering wheel up

have you checked the earth strap between the gear box and chassis is ok, this is sometimes a problem too
