aaz on a dy 1.6d box. im thrashing in the dark!
hi all ive spent the last week reading posts on here and brick yard and to honest feel im no better off. right my problem is 2 weeks ago i removed my 1.9 dg with abd 4 speed box and installed a 1.9 aaz td with a dy 4 speed from a diesel all was well until i drove it over 40mph and found the gearing so low 50 mph was painful to listen to, im a diesel trained engineer of 12 years and im horrified. . .i was rolling on a set of design 90's with 45 profile all around so first stop was to re tyre it after reading some tips on forums that 60 profile helped lots. . .so a few quid later and the visual look of my van running on this tyre kills me. it looks crap! can i assume that aaz users just live with this or am i missing a trick here? please help people as im at end of my tether and may end up just abandoning t25s fore ever.
just quick ive checked brick yard with ratios. . could new wheels in 17 or 18 inch help?

You will have to study the tyre ratios ,its not so much the rim dia but the rolling radius of the wheel/tyre combo, but that box is no good for the aaz , a dy wouild be a bit too revvy on my 1.6D so no chance on the aaz,
Im running a 1.6d with 195-80s and a 5sp dx (5.43:1) that will just rev out nicely on the flat ,

Not sure of ratios on the petrol box u had in before but im sure if you stick the diesel bell housing and input shaft on your petrol box ul find it much better. Aidan Talbot's the chap to speak to he's God of the t25 gearbox! His user name is Aidan on here or search for his web site
