Im looking into the bewildering options for uk/euro breakdown cover.
But, whenever I try to get an online quote (RAC AA Greenflag), for my 1982 T25 computer says .. too old.
Any recommendations or advice very welcome,
Thanks

You have to phone up for older vehicles, well I do for the AA anyway.

Try HIc (Herts Insurance) they provide insurance and breakdown for older vans with euro cover as standard.

Re: Too old for euro breakdown cover
Adrian Flux do insurance and breakdown cover too. I have UK and Europe cover with Britannia Rescue. Unfortunately I have had to use them a few times abroad and they have always performed well (that cannot be said of some of the bigger breakdown companies wink wink). They get the nearest garage to attend to you which means you have less time waiting around.
Also remember, if you break down on a French toll road, you have to be rescued via the local police. This is a quirky arrangement, but is the only way you can be rescued. The emergency phones link you to them automatically. Remember your breakdown service is not allowed to operate on toll roads so unlike me, do not waste time using your mobile phone. Good luck

Re: Too old for euro breakdown cover
You can get cover yourself and not the van with the AA so it doesn't matter which car/van your driving as your the member not the vehical, Im sure thats how we got around it.

Contact Glynwood insurance service and ask about the ALPS road rescue full uk and european cover for classic campers (no age restrictions) think i paid £65 for 12months cover in april. You dont have to be insured with them to buy it.
