Hi All
Hello from Dublin!
This is my first post here so maybe someone can help. A few weeks back I bought my 1990 T25 Pickup on ebay. I went to Plymouth to collect it and gave it a good test by immediately driving 370 miles home to Dublin at a steady 60! Missed my Ferry at Hollyhead but that was not the fault of the VW!! She only has 26k miles on her.
Anyway I have 2 questions - forgive me if they are stoopid!
Q1. See Pic one and the offside rear lower panels. Would it be better to try to mend or just replace the corner panel and the back (light) panel???? Where would I get them? And for the stupid question, how do you remove the panels ? cut them out???
Q2. The roof of the cab above the rear cab window is rusted. You could put your finger through it - see the small hole on the corner as proof! Is that a replacement panel job? Is one available? or is it a case of cutting the rust out and welding in new sheetmetal?
Thanks guys
Rasher

thanks for the intro aidan, have the rear panels which should be of use best to cut them out with a grinder and a 1mm cutting disc and reweld, as for the roof patching it would be the best again cut out and weld in although you will have to remove the headlining carefully or it will rip PM'd you
