Hi
We've booked our van in to a caravan servicing company to get our 3 way fridge checked over - its not running on the gas so probably needs the jets cleaned, not a job I fancy tackling. We are going to get a full habitation service done at the same time as the previous owner suggested it would be a good idea to do before the summer.
Has anyone had experience of these? any idea what they normally do and how much this is likely to sting me?
Cheers

Re: Habitation Check - What does it entail
Had one of those on ours when we first bought it - got a local "motorhome" dealer down the road (as it happens he had, then flogged the huge custom Orange van in C&B this month!) to do it just to have a look through things... they checked gas, water, electrics for safety and functionality, and did some fairly basic checks on water ingress (although didn't locate leak we finally found about 12 months later
) - oh and they gave it a really good clean outside! Cost 60 summat quid, and I'll not be bothering again now I know more about it, but felt happy at the time, particularly as one of the guys spent a bit of time with me going through stuff like the split charger, and getting gas into the westy tank. HTH

OK so I'm not so new anymore, but still a slack poster - where does the time go?!

I hoping thats the case -they are cleaning the jets on the fridge which is a fixed price job at the same time so it will be a lot dearer.
They are based in Carstairs which is a town with one shop and a pub and a prison for criminal mental patients (not kidding). As a courtesy they drive you somewhere interesting (i've chosen New Lanark heritage village ) nearby so you can potter around for the afternoon then they come get you.
bloody good service so far!
