Alternator belt/Water Pump

Post by Bert2 »

can someone post a picture of the belt arrangment for a 1.6D Diesel Non Turbo. At the moment I have one belt that passes round the drive wheel, outside water pump then up to the altermator. I have 2 grooves on the bottom drive wheel but only one is used the engine is an early CS engine if that helps If I should have 2 belts I think the pulley wheel on the Water Pump must be on the wrong way round. They way I have works but I want to get it right. :P

Water pump belt is 10x635

Alternator belt is 10x600

Adjustment of water pump pulley is by removing/adding shims between two halves of the pulley. Unused shims are stored on outside of pulley.
1.9D (AEF) pop-top. Aaaaahhhhh........that's better.
