Camper Worktops

Post by aronadams »

Hi Everyone,

I want to replace my worktop in my van, if it were a straight worktop, it would be easy as I could by one and cut it down however, there is a larger bit on the end where the hob is.

Does anyone know a supplier for these as I want it in the same finish as a normal kitchen worktop but about 30mm thick.

Thanks for your time,

Aron

lol, I guess it will! You can tell its my first time and that I am not at all 'handy'!

I have just had another look and measured it this time and the current one is a lot less than that, its about 10mm with edging pinned to it.

I dont want the edging, just a one piece worktop so I guess 20mm would do it?

Thanks,

Aron

10mm is the norm, its just veneered plywood.

You need to keep the weight down, so a 20mm piece of wood will still weigh a fair bit

What Eatcustard said.
Go for a piece of quality ply like Baltic Birch multiplex.
