Rotor arm help

Post by tony_de_whitt »

Hello All.

Im a syncro owner now living in Australia.
Recently bought my first syncro and currently doing many jobs.
Problem is ive come to replace my leads dizzy cap and rotor arm and all was going well until i came to fit the rotor arm. The hole in the rotor is too big for the shaft. The place i bought the rotor from assures me that there is only one rotor for all these vehicles. Looking at my bently suggest different. What i need if possible is a bosch code for the rotor i need. Ive been told that all Australian type 25,s had the dizzy fitted that used the fatter shaft rotor arm but for some reason(imported etc) mines different. Ive also been told that the rotor arm of a 70,s or 80,s golf will also fit my thinner shaft version.
Any help greatly Appreciated
Thanks in advance
Anthony

Yep MV code engines with Digfant injection used a smaller 10 mm shaft rotor arm, Also fitted to Polo and Golf with 1.1 & 1.3 ltr engines with the distributor on the end of the camshaft.

As said.. sounds like an MV engine code or at least has the MV dizzy (no vac advance) and injection system with lambda control

they are beru rather than bosch
EVL 134

to fit bosch
1 234 332 350 which is the cap I think

this may be the Bosch number 1 234 332 399 off another forum

used to be 92218 from GSF but they have changed it now it's 922VG0070

beru website which has product finder http://www.beru.com/english/produkte/pr ... ion=step04
