Another Eberspacher question....sorry

Just fitted a Eberspacher D2, saw it working on the bench before buying.

I have had it running a few times now, not all the time but sometimes when it starts it goes through the cycle, fan starts for about 90 seconds, then the pump starts ticking, this is when I get accasionally concerned, it will smoke quite badly until you hear it kick in and it runs fine then.

Any ideas?

no worrys on the smoking side when it fires up i have one in my hgv and it does it if i have had it on over night it smokes just a little next time then short runs seem to make it smokey again
