rattling since the garage had it, what to do now

This is about my golf not the t25. A garage replaced the front brakes and tyres last week.
Since then I've noticed a rattling noise coming from the left front wheel area when driving over uneven ground...
At first I wasn't sure but the more I listened for it the more I can hear it and now its doing me nut in.
Only had the car a week before that, so I can't be 100% sure it wasn't already doing it, and maybe I just hadn't noticed.
But now I'm worried that maybe something has been left loose and is about to fall off! Or maybe the garage broke something...
So do I take it back to them, or get someone else to check it?

Stone in hubcap? Give the syre a good tug 3+9 o'clock and at 12 o'clock, check the wheel nuts up tight.

Check your wheel nuts are torqued up correctly. They need to be a lot tighter than you (or your garage) might think

Just got back from the garage - and the verdict is that the anti-rattle shims are "missing".
They need to order some in, but aren't going to charge me... which means they are either being really nice because the shims were missing all along, or they are idiots because they threw them away with the old pads...
