Hooking Up in Europe

Will be hitting continental Europe for the first time in my van this summer. I was wondering, do campsites provide a lead for hook-ups, or do you normally have to supply your own? Also, is some sort of adaptor required or are the same type of hook up plugs used as in the Uk.
