since ive had my van it rumbles from the engine revs, its noisey when im on the motorway and the whole van rumbles on tickover.
if youve been on a large ship you will know what i mean! its a 1.6d. can i assume my engine rubber mounts or g/box mounts are shot?
they do seem ok though(visual). anyone had a similar experience

just me then?
Re: VIBES. lots of em (diesel engine)
I have the same engine and it's not vibey so I guess you must have an issue somewhere. If it's running fine then I'd guess it is your engine mounts that are the problem. I would guess if it was the gearbox ones you would feel it when changing gear more than constantly when running. Mine is very noisy when doing 50+ mph though but at the minute I have no interior or insulation fitted at all! They are a noisy wee engine though.

To check the mounts (never tried this on a van so might not work) try lifting them with a crowbar or similar levered against the engine or floor. If they are shot they would move a fair bit. Worth a go.

my 1.6d doesnt vibrate so id def check the engine mounts.
I have no idea where it came from, or what it is, but it's looking right at me.
