Random tube loose in the van!

I've been sorting out some aux pump issues over the last few days and found this random braded tube (see pics below). One end has some metal and looks like it has snapped off something important! The first pics shows where I found it, it was nested inbetween the air filter and the rocker cover (I think thats it!).

Does anyone know what it is and if I should worry? :run

This is the tube by which the faeries enter the engine to make it all work nicely, if you have removed it you WILL experience engine issues. :wink:
