Heat tabs on Vege recon engine - location?

Hi all,

I have just had a Vege recon engine fitted, and the paperwork says there are heat sensitive tabs on the engine - they can check to see if the engine has been run too hot and this will affect the warranty.

I can't see any anywhere and think this may be a myth - anyone ever had experience of this?

Not had any issues with the engine - just curious.
