No one is haranguing you and I'm not calling you a liar (unless you know better) , what I am saying is back up what your saying, any advice should be backed up with evidence not just comment.

Then why aren't you demanding Ian provide evidence for his claim that 'ferries are cheaper anyway'?
If we're going to impose a burden of evidence on any advice proffered, it's going to slow the forum down a little.

Re: Planning first trip to Europe - any tips?
I know how much Ian paid for his ferry , two years ago we all went together , and I know how much he paid last year when we went with other 80-90ers
,However none of us have been in the tunnel (in the last 4 years) so I'am very interested in finding out the price and how it compares with the ferry crossing ,
I for one have never been in the tunnel , 1 because the old 25 was LPG'ed , and 2 it was mega bucks ,
You state that you have been across in the tunnel on numerous occasions , but have no recollection on the price .
Anyway this is going nowhere because you have no evidence on the cost , which was my first question
Thanks for you input as ever Horns

So, are you going to go through all the other threads now and demand that people back up any advice given with hard evidence?

I have to read most/all replies/threads and if there is a problem with the replies ( as you know already) I will ask for more evidence and input

Re: Planning first trip to Europe - any tips?
Hi t'onion,
Last year we left it a bit late to book and was nearly £200 return for 2 of us in the tunnel.
This year we booked in advance and think it was £130ish. This is for the same 2 weeks - first fortnight in August.
I get terribly terribly sea sick hence the tunnel is worth the extra £££ for me to not arrive green!!

Westy Cali Pop top and 2 passengers - seems I should have shopped around a little given your £60 - where you sailing from? Mind you I think I had a bit of a knee jerk reaction after looking at Santander or Bilbao both at around £600!!?? So £120 something seemed like a good deal!!
