Clutch slave cylinder
Just wondered what kinda job it is to replace a slave cylinder on an 85 westy? Just realised mines is leaking badly and was hoping to get away in it on friday..

easiest way is to kill a few birds with one stone.
drop the gearbox, then you can change...
the slave, clutch, thrustbearing, gearbox seal, gearbox mount and earth point
or undo the rear gearbox mount disconnect the linkages and drop it down on a jack.
it will be more accessable then

not out ..but dropped down by undoing the mount on the back of gearbox.

hmm i changed my slave via engine bay and underneath just very gentle with pipes 84 caravelle dg ,or did i just do it my way cos i didnt know right way ,was tricky mind getting a spanner on to hold nut i was allmost in engine,.
