Re: Syncropendence 2010
I`m game for a little playing, just got to weld up the holes in my floor first before doing any wading or soft mud.
Finally sorted the squeek from the back, nothing to do with the gearbox, but a wheel bearing fouling on the spacer in the rear hub.
I`ll ask Rose and Megan if they want to come for the weekend, bout time they came out for a bit of playing.

Re: Syncropendence 2010
Well, I've been psyching myself up for this for the last 2 years and starting to panic big time now.
The site is some 120 miles from me and according to `Multi-map` will take approx 3 and 1/2 hours to get there. I don't know whether I can do it in one continuous drive at the moment. After my recent jaunts to the Brecon Beacons (80 ml round trips) with the family, it takes me a good 24 to 48 hrs to recover.
Then I have to consider whether I will have enough energy in the tank (mine) when I arrive to even pitch up. Talking of which, I haven't got a tent yet, although I've made a `Cook Shelter` out of a few old army canvas pup-tents. Looks similar to this ..... http://www.canvastentshop.co.uk/dining- ... d_121.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; Oh, and I haven't camped since my scouting days ... 45 yrs ago!
So, later this week I'm going to pick a town/village about half-way to the July Syncropendence venue and attempt to drive there and back and then erect my cook-tent.
I'll let you know whether I'm dead or not at the end of my effort.
Eric.

Not really an unsociable sod, just gives a good impression.

Use Google maps cuz it only takes 3 hours to get there from Caerphilly ......
It'll take us 6 hours to get there, 10 minutes to pitch up and with a bit of luck we will get in a few hours off roading before dinner.

Are there any places left? Might just tag along with axeman and my mad dog!
That description sounds just like the nasty noise mine is making - it squeals as you come to a stop, and whines/rumbles at any roadspeed.futbus wrote:Finally sorted the squeek from the back, nothing to do with the gearbox, but a wheel bearing fouling on the spacer in the rear hub.

Make sure you pack your shorts and sandals if you plan using the chainsaw.

S'OK Doug, I've already sent the H&S forms to Corby for a good old filling in session...
As long as we're covered for on-site limb removal we should be good to go...
