have finally managed to get myself a pop top to replace my hi top
any tips on removing the hi top in place (can be seen on the van in my garage phots) hows it held on etc not bothered about damaging it particularly as will probably smash up and dump anyway
as far as i can see the wooden frame then attaches to the roof (hoping the existing hole will be sufficient) and the whole unit then fits onto this and seal the edges. Has anyone done similar and got any tips, loads of questions like what do i attach the wooden frame with? self tapping screws or bolts etc what tools will i need (any specialist tools), will the roof need any additional strengthening (cant imagine the pop top weighs that much more than the hi top?)
as a complete novice should i be attempting this myself (fairly competent diyer so think its within my abilities) or should i be paying a professional to fit it??
like i say any help would be greatly appreciated, not attempting the changeover for a couple of weeks so thought i better start doing some research now
