John, the weekend is July 2nd to July 4th in Wales slightly north of Oswestry.

This will be a cracking weekend.
The weather has been booked.

Also, for those that haven't joined the syncronauts in the UK this would be a good time to come along and join in,
talk the talk ...
Action the action...
and a lot of playing...
It's all the little moments in life that make it a big adventure.

So, this looks like another well attended SP, we'll have to start planning for some different activities this year...

...starting with drawing straws on who will be cleaning the barbecue before leaving Sunday afternoon :D

PS. Many thanks to David.Crankinwagen for help & encouragement at Mammut Park when cleaning the barbecue (it sure needed it!).

I'm going to have a go a getting there, but, as ever, too many things and not enough time - got Glastonbury week off which is just before this so I'm not going to be popular at work. Still its only work......

Clive, I haven't put anything back into the club yet, plus I'm staying over Sunday night (hoping for some green laning on Monday hint hint!) so put me down for that duty.

Patrick,

Thanks... we'll start a rota. It used to be...

Jenny and Linda
Linda & Jenny
Jenny
Linda
Linda Jenny
Jenny Jenny

which wasn't really fair.

& occasionally someone else.
Apologies to all those someone elses, possibly Vicki & John in there too !

Anyway, Dave & myself deployed the hottest water we could bare, the wickedest chemical degreasers we could muster, 17 various scouring pads and scraped it to within an inch of its life, downside up and upside down, it even got annoyed and attacked us a few times, like a child that doesn't want a bath. But it now weighs a good few pounds less than before, which Doug will be grateful for and hopefully his garage won't stink of rancid fats between events now.
What we don't know is whether it will ever work again, but we're hopeful it hasn't gone into a shiny sulk - Oh and make sure you bring some dark glasses before cooking on it next time...

Praps I'm just thinking back to the 'megaweight' barbecue days, certainly remember that getting a good old scraping... in fact in some ways, it was an easier clean, despite a tendency to rust and a few more acres of surface area
