just a quick one, does anyone know which cable connects the power for the stereo? its an 1986 1.9 panel van conversion. i want to fit a toggle switch on the dash to flick between main battery and leisure battery when parked up but cant get the stereo out of the dash (i can get to the cables behind it through the small tray above it). i'm gonna connect to the leisure battery with a 5amp fuse and 8 amp wire, this sound ok?
I was going to do this but ended up wiring in an ignition switched relay to do the job - ignition on and it switches to main battery, ignition off and it goes over to the leisure. It's quick enough for the stereo not to go through the off/on cycle also
Do a search and there's a wiring diagram (not by me) on here somewhere, if you cant find it PM me and I'll send you one.
Good luck!

What's the reasoning behind this? Why not just have it running off the leisure all the time?
I guess it maximises what you get out of the battery once your parked up (i.e. fully charged when you stop), also means the stereo still works if your leisure is flat or not connected.
