Carb balancer SORTED!

Post by very_bland »

Afternoon all!
I'm going to finally change back to twin Solex PDSIT 32/34s in a few days on my 2l AC. Anyone know what balancers are compatable?

This site:
http://www.ratwell.com/technical/DualCarbs.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Suggests 2 "snail" synchrometers, which look like this:
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Weber-Dellorto-SU ... 3cac56580c" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

But just inside the throat of the carb in front of me (number 2, NS) there is a little brass tubing thing (not on the photo of the one in the site above) which would prevent a snail from being used, I would have thought.

Any ideas/links much appreciated!

Cheers,
Billy

I use a set of vacumn gauges same as you can use on a motorbike 4 cylinder works fine for me been using them for about 20 years
you just plug them into the vacumn lines seemples

Cheers Dug! I presume since there are 2 gauges on there, I can use one for each carb? i.e. only need to buy 1 unit?
