After numerous BOD issues I'm fitting an oil pressure gauge so I can monitor the engine. I have a 1.6td engine and space around the pressure switch on the oil filter housing is tight as I want to fit the sender on an adapter so I can retain the original pressure switch as well..There is more space around the other switch on the cylinder head itself, but would this effect the readings on the gauge.. Any advice......Mark
A male M10 X 1 engine connector with a 1/8 NPT male hose point,
A length of steel braided hose with 1/8NPT female ends,
A T piece for either a mechanical or electrical connection +sender unit (elec),
for mechanical a length of hose to the cab, or a length of wire (elec). a gauge and a holder
I used the mechanical method as it's the most accurate and cheapest

Not if it has the hi - lo oil pressure senders like the WBX
The guage should read where the warning light reads. (tappet gallery usualy)
the other is line pressure from the oil pump
Managed to squeeze in an adapter on the oil filter housing then fitted the original pressure switch and new sender(scrapped knuckles and a few expletives)..no leaks so far , but not road tested it yet. Routed the wiring from engine to dashboard. Next job..wire gauge up and find a suitable location to mount it.

Can anyone tell me if this is the right one to get and if its cheaper anywhere else. I'm really not sure what to be looking for when choosing an oil pressure sender for my 1.6Td T25.
I'm keen to get an oil pressure guage fitted before I go on holiday in a couple of weeks as I have a new reconditioned engine (fitted after a catastrophic engine failure) and my dash warning light doesn' work anymore.
Thanks

I have the twin sender[justkampers] fitted to the front of the cylinder head,[no adaptor needed] if the oil gets realy hot you may get a low reading[below .5bar! at idle].the adaptor in your post seems to use the wrong thread [should be 10 by 1mm].
I dont think, so I'm not[do I exist?]

It asks me to specify the "engine thread" and the "pressure take off thread". Am I right in thinking that the engine thread is M10 x 1 and the oil pressure take off thread is 1/8 NPT?
