Early westy owners....help please?

Post by Marvin »

Hi guys, having some problems with my split charge relay, well tbh I accidentally pulled the wires off removing the battery! Need some help with which pins take which wires. I know it's a pig but any chance someone could take a look at theirs and let me know which wires go where, or a pic, or anything that would help. I've seen a couple of wiring diagrams but none of them correlate to the wires I have, mainly colour. I've got a 1980, I believe the wire colours changed around 82? This is a factory westy with fridge and charger still fitted.

Many thanks for any help

Simon

Here's what it is on my Westy - thick red wire with fuse holder goes to the pin marked 87, earth to pin 85, thin white wire + blue wire to pin 85 and thick red with black strip + thick red with white cover(?) goes to pin 30. I took mine out a while ago whilst I'm doing some welding behind the kitchen unit and these are the notes I made. And I'm colour blind, but I'm sure that'll do the trick!
