hi guys, looking into picking up a watercooled van to live in at uni :-)
the chap has supposively put a y reg astra 1600 carb on the 1.9 wasser, aparently its the same?! is this true?

As long as it's not a variojet and it's a pierburg 2e3.

the jetting ain't right... I'll bet

hi, so the carb body is the same, but it may need rejetting, is that easy to do?

yes.
you'll need a refurb kit and prob new jets.

or at least robbed off a scrapper

so yes its the same carb body, but it will need rejetting, or rejetting and new jets? :)

ideally re-jet with new.

cool, any ideas where you get smaal spares like that, proabaly have to get a whoile rebuild kit yeh? last question i promise! :@)

if it runs ok why would you want to re-jet it. theres no point
