Thanks.I read through some old posts on here and found the correct measurement for the engine height, its 39mm from the top or the crank pulley to the top of the chassis rails.
Then we made this ( when I say we mainly my Dad)

No posts for a while been forgetting to take the camera with me but I have been plodding away at it.
It now RUNS :ok
Started 1st time today.
Still have a few bit to sort out, Alternator tensioner bracket (lost it somehow!)
Exhaust tailpipe.
Throttle cable (bit missing from kit replacement lost or delayed in post)
Dalek cap not working correctly.
Air filter (3" cone filter needed)
But it RUNS :ok

Tasty crossmember. I can't call it an engine bar - too good for that! Must post you that chq for the a/c bit sometime :oops:

Got to Brean today without to much trouble,did have a bolt fall out the exhaust so it got a bit loud! and I need to fit the vehicle speed sensor but otherwise I'm very pleased. :ok

On the road :D It's a good feeling. Nice wheels btw, what are they? I'm weighing up whether to get the ones on the SA refurbed (dents/flats on the inner rims :( ) or replace with something mid-90's looking and those are the style I was thinking of all along.

I think they finish the van off nicely quite retro.A couple need a referb but theres plenty of time for that!
