Trailing Arm
Had to take off the passenger side trailing arm from my 83 van, I found a 1.5" 1" hole on the inside next to the outer bush, I was going to do a weld repair then thought better of it as it was a little too big, also the area where the rubber bush fits into was also badly corroded so I thought it best to get another, was able to get one on ebay just thought I would remind everyone to have a good check around the area where the trailing arm meets the van as the older vans out there could be getting a bit thin by now!

Re: Trailing Arm

Re: Trailing Arm
I think it had a large rust scab on it which I dislodged when I was replacing the brake back plate bolts were stiff and took a bit of bashing to get off.
Re: Trailing Arm
Got a great pair 4 years ago from ebay for just £50 when I noticed they would need replacing sooner rather than later. Blasted them, re-painted them and fitted new bushes. One is now on the van and the other is in storage for when it's needed.
