Dizzy wiring plug

Post by orangebooboobearcrew »

Hello,

The wiring plug on our dizzy snapped off when I was trying to refit last week - d'oh

I ordered a replacement Hall sender from JK (electrronic ignition for 2.0l petrol air cooled) as this has a new clip.

However, when I offered this up to the dizzy body, it was too wide by some 3-4 mm

I have tried to trim the clip with a hacksaw and whilst it is closer, I still can't get it to fit.

Does anyone know where I might be able to get just the clip as a replacement? Think Brickwerks do the genuine Bosch Hall sender which presumably does have the correct clip but can't afford to spend another £80 after spending £60 at JK for something that doesn't fit

Cheers, Chris

Done it!

Kept hacking away and after about 2 hours (yes 2 hours) I have managed to get it to fit.

All this because JK supplied more s^*te kit not fit for purpose and the fact there are not enough suppliers out there for T25's. The wiring plug itself is probably £1 worth of plastic!

About time we got some decent parts suppliers for our vans. You can get anything for a Bay and on Wheeler Dealers last night, Jensen Inteceptor parts are all made in the original factory which someone bought with all the original machinery. I would have thought there were loads more T25's on the road but we don't seem to have this luxury

Surely there's a killing to be made here if you can make good quality parts. I would have probably paid £10 for one of these clips rather than f&*k about for hours trying to find a new one (unsuccessfully) then have to hack it to death for another few hours...
