Subaru Conversion and fuel lines

Post by IanMills »

I am tryng to install a EJ20 lump into my panel van, I am currently having problems with the reversed coolant manifold from RJES. The fuel line need to be bent away from the outlet as well as the mounting for the sensor. Although I have removed the brackets for the fuel lines and gently bent the pipes some 1/2 an inch they still foul on the coolant manifold or the sensor mountings. do any of you know where I could get new fuel lines made up rather than try bending these ones any more, I feel sure that at any moment they are going to go snap!!
Many Thanks
Ian

Hi Ian,
i used a small pipe bender it cost around £8.00 and does 8,10 and 12 mm pipe, with a single bend upwards it cleared RJES manifold. you can see a picture on my posting " a few question on a Subaru conversion". The picture was taken before i re-painted the pipes as this cracked when bent. hope this helps.

I gently bent the single fuel pipe, on the other side it was a little bit more difficult but its done now I think!
