Spring Compressors. Do I need them?
Just read (Again) the Brick-Yard Article on changing springs (http://www.brick-yard.co.uk/VehicleSpec ... wering.htm). No mention of using compressors. Just jack the van up and the lower arms drop enough (With help) that no compressor needed. Is this right?

I suppose they have to advise you about using spring compressors otherwise it may become a Health and Safety issue,,,,,this job can be carried out with just a strategically placed trolley jack, on both the front and rear suspension components.....

Re: Spring Compressors. Do I need them?
It does
I couldn't remove my rear spring with out a compressor or get the new one in. my CV joint bottomed out before i got the clearance so I used a spring compressor. Halsords do em for £20 or so.
on tight ones like this it may be an idea to use some spring compressors to take the strain and make removal easier,
