Flushing Rust out of Block and Hoses

Post by wagenbod »

I've just removed rotted radiator and rotted front to back metal water pipes. I think they contained tomato soup! I'd like to get as much crap out of the hoses and engine block before I fit new pipes and rad. Any advice on best way of doing this would be appreciated. ('83 CS 1600 D)

When i done mine last summer i just undid as many hoses as i could get to and let the hose pipe loose down them, then i'd blow through the pipes until the water ran clear, took about an hour to do i seem to recall
I'm in my own lill world but its ok cos everyone here knows me !
