Re: Brickwerks Steering Rack Bushes
I've just bought them, hopefully fit the end of the week, do they make that much of a difference then?
And 15mins!! are the old mounts that easy to get out?

Currently missing from the webshop, run out, more on order and will be back on the webshop once fresh stock lands.
powerflex are working flat out after the fire and orders are taking a little longer to process after the fire, but they are on to it.
I'm expecting 3 weeks or so.

Re: Brickwerks Steering Rack Bushes
The old bushes tap out easily! All you need to do is remove the four bolts and then lever the rack away from its mount. Then tap out old bushes, lube new bushes and fit, then refit rack. Easy peasy
The difference in steering feel is quite remarkable. I don't have to constantly 'shuffle' the steering wheel back and forth just to keep in a straight line. I no longer fear crosswinds! Easily the best pennies you will spend handling wise. Ten out of ten on the keenometer

Re: Brickwerks Steering Rack Bushes
In my next Powerflex order i have asked for a yellow set if anyone fancies a go with the softer compoound?
Powerflex Purple is "shore 80"
Powerflex yellow is "shore 70" so a bit easier to work with and a little softer.

Re: Brickwerks Steering Rack Bushes
I have had the purple ones on my non-power steering Syncro for 6 months now and although they did tighten the steering no end they have introduced a certain jarring on rougher roads. Fine on normal roads though. I think I would consider the yellow bushes if doing again...

Are these the bushes that help stop the auto lane change?

Does not stop it altogether but removes the underwear soiling element. A good investment

Re: Brickwerks Steering Rack Bushes
Simon,
Any idea when these might be back in stock? Presumably when they are the complete set of bushes option will be returning also?

Wouldn't it be better to put out of stock rather than removing them?
I spent bloody ages searching for them over and over again thinking....... I know there on here somewhere.

Rob.

Re: Brickwerks Steering Rack Bushes
Yep, we can do that, it just means we have to go in and do it, and remember that we have done it, when the new stock comes in we have to spend a few minutes digging around to find the image to swap back accross, where as turning an item on or off is a piece off p!ss.
Old webshop systems sucks big fat hairy donkey knob, not very useful in situations like that.
Something we are currently looking at changing, but for the moment it's much easier for us to just turn them off.
After the fire at Powerflex stock is taking a little while longer to arrive, they have been on order for a month or so, so they shouldn't be far away.
Rest assured that as soon as they land they will be put back on the shop ASAP.
