Fubar...............

Post by albertramsbottom »

Just had my timing set 5degs ATDC @ 850 rpm and subsequently over-heated on the way home

Oil light started to flicker, i pulled over and the heat inside the engine was incredible. All tinware in place, new 20/50 oil. Flaps work great and in fail safe

I did change my oil cooler seals but there is still oil dripping out. So I dont think its coming from the oil cooler, might be the pressure switch, I just cant get to it.

Blocked oil channel(s) maybe?

I could easily touch the end of the dip stick sp I dont think the oil is getting round the engine properly

Its a sinking ship

No i remenbered the idle stable thingy :(

Theres not much point in putting it back as it was doing the same before. And the timing was well out becuase my local garage didnt know what they were doing.

Im convinced its somthing to do with the oil system now. Dodgy oil pressure relief valve spring! Blocked oil channels, duff oil cooler!

I think its time to give up to be honest and get either a recon engine or new van

Cheers

Well, that sone thing I havent changed to be honest.

I didnt think that this being blocked would stop or slow the flow of oil. Better get one and fit it

Cheers
