You do not think that you could get an LPG tank in there do you? I kind of like the space under my back seat for other stuff and while not quite ready to make the investment to LPG I would like to get it right.

Thats very intresting, thanks for that. I know there would be additional cost but can you run off two tanks? I think that I could give away half my space under the back seat.

Re: Storage space under front bash plate?
You can indeed run twin lpg tanks! They are just tee'd together.
As a side note, there was (I understand) a combined spare carrier/bashplate available as an option but...uber rare. I think Ghia had one for sale a while back. Would be good to see how VW/SDP engineered it so I could copy it for the collective good
Has anyone got one fitted and care to slap up a pic ot three? Get spying at Mammut Park!

Is that a pukka VW one? I can see it's got a bolt tag in the middle, like a wheel carrier. Does it have hinges at the back edge? Can't see on this old monitor here...
If so, any chance of a sketch and some dimensions

Re: Storage space under front bash plate?
Thanks for that. I was wondering if anybody with a tank that takes up the full space of the back seat.
1. What size is it?
2. How many miles can you get with it on average?
3. How much does it cost to fill the thing up?
4. Is there any space left in the locker beneath the back seat for blankets or stuff?
It seems quite a few questions but I am sure if there is anybody reading this with lpg they will gladly give me the stats, just to ram it home that I should invest in the system.
Thanks Chiz

Saw a beautiful fuel tank at Syncro25 that fits in that space and takes 50l of fuel. All in stainless as well! €400
