Is this the air intake for the Propex???

Post by daschmoo »

The winter really took its toll on my van and a couple of pipes have perished... am I right in thinking this is the air intake for the Propex... have traced it back and it's connected to the top of the unit (rather than the back where another pipe is).

The fact that it is routed to the side leads me to think that it is an exhaust rather than intake - the intake would not need to be taken from the side. Propex owners should be able to confirm.
Why not just switch it on and see? If it sucks it's inlet, if it blows hot it's exhaust.

Thanks guys, didn't think to turn it on to see if it sucked or blew! Duh! I think I made the right decision to cease using the Propex when I discovered the pipe was hanging off in the snow! Now to try to fix it! I'm assuming the little square thing should be nice and clear of debris rather than gunked up like mine? :ok
