Distributor cap... which one do I need?

Post by pouch »

Hi Guys,

I had a tad of 3 cylinder action at the weekend after putting the front of the van back together. When I checked I have a perished HT lead with a hole in it and a corroded lead and also dizzy cap. Managed to get going with some sandpaper but need to replace leads and cap.

Leads on JK are £17 ish

The cap is orange in my bus and has this written on it:
1235 522056
200

The engine is the original CU no 080258
Aircooled

Any idea which dizzy cap I need, and any suggestions on where to purchase cheaper than JK well appreciated.

disicap is 113 905 207 C
£5.65 from vw plus vat
about £4 from gsf and europarts, but I'd go genuine since it's not expensive, it will be a genuine bosch and all good : )
