not sure what engine you got iv,e got dg 1.9 wbx when things were tricky i found it better to jack rear up chock front wheels put axel stands under rear then put trolley jack under engine with piece wood on under pump to take weight then undo engine mount ,mabe undo a couple short hoses /wires anything that might pull then slowly let jack/engine down loadsa room engine out but not.dead easy back up/in no lining up just a wiggle .pleasedouble check push rods if you have them if their not seated you,l never set valves or u will but wrong been there for tdc both valves ,inlet/exhaust should be closed piston up /dizzy pointing @ no 1 leadset each cylinder @tdc per cylinder ie once u got no1 go back 180 for next and so on.hope im right took me ages of doing reading then it all fell into place (2 pushrods not seated)when i did mine i went for just touching all around to get it going do timing static once happy went back gave them all one more turn not perfect but im gunna go back to them.good luck

Absolutly no need to drop the engine at all on the WBX.. all easy to do with engine in place..

Albert.. 2L AC easy and virtually the same.. Got that haynes manual yet?? it really is in there, along with lots of other usefull info........
