depends where you are trying to fit said scrapper, he might be pissed at that

front window scrapers however are pretty striaghtforward provided the metal clips in the door are all ok,wind window down and it's just a lift the rear corner and gently remove the whole thing, refitting is the reverse

Sorry to hijack......but does anyone know when to pick up a pair of front door lower chrome scrapers (California). Black ones I can get easily.
Peter Gunzl has failed to bring some over the last two Vanfests....anywhere else?
I've exhausted all the usual places.

The Caravelles have them too although I don't know if theres a massive difference between what was stock VW and what was fitted to some afternarket campers - they don't seem exactly the same. Either way that could mean two potential sources/types or conversely, two obsolete ones!
