And don't forget Morrisons currently has their Texaco Havoline oil on offer for £4.99.

I don't know if I'd call GSF the best place. Most convenient, perhaps, but the quality of their parts is somewhat variable. I've had decent Mann stuff and non-branded crap from them, listed as the same part number....

But Morrisons stores or petrol kiosks have recently had an offer on 15W40 5 and 1 litre containers of Texaco Havoline oil. (£4.99 for 5l) you may get lucky and find a store that still has some.

Without hijacking, oil for automatic box? Haynes has it down as power steering fluid - is that right? Final drive is gear oil but i'm just wondering if Haynes is still accurate?

GSF used to sell VW Quantum oil until a couple of years ago. Now they sell Fuchs Titan which is excellent quality oil. All the oil & air filters I have bought from GSF have been Mann. :)

When I bought some there 3 weeks ago, they told me they were discontinuing Fuchs in favour of some cheap-looking brand I'd never heard of...

I guess you've been lucky with the filters. I've ordered the exact same part number from the same branch and had Mann one time and a no-name copy the next.
