Fitting oil temp gauge to an AAZ

After all the above can you advise on the correct sender and vdo gauge combination? just stuck a new lump in mine, don't want to cook it.

Go down the motor factors and ask for a oil temp sender 10mm. It cost £8. or you can buy the vdo one for more than double, up to you
