Feed from my leasure battery to cab

Post by albertramsbottom »

I havent yet got my sterio working on my LB and would also like a couple of ciggy light sockets to run from it.

But im not sure how to do it. Would I just run a live from the LB into a spare fuse box thingy (Is the fuse box earthed?)

Any advice on this?

What fuse rating should I fit

Cheers

No, fuse box not earthed although any earths, whether for power supplied from leisure or starter body are common (ie both use chassis). All I did was run a wire from leisure to a small 6-way fuse box (all car accessory shops keep them in stock I think). This wire will terminate on one connector which is then linked from one terminal to the next on the same side (picture the loch ness monster sticking out of the water). The other side of the fusebox are the feeds out, all protected by the correctly rated fuse.

you can take a live from any where on your leisure loom.
or alternativly take it direct from your Aux batt.
break the feed with a suitable fuse that your radio requires (this will be in the fitting manual)
earth it to the body (A pillar)

Cheers

I fitted my lesure loom in the side rear cupboard and its a bit far away from the cab area. I might fit another one up front
