curtain question

Hello all,on me first t25 a autohomes komet,just got new curtains and was wondering whats the best way to secure the tie backs to the van,the old ones were fixed by a small screw directly through the material to the van,must be a better way surely?

Metal screw cup washer over the fabric then screwed through into the metal.



Male/female snap fastener on tie back edeges to hold them together.
