fuse box to battery cable

Post by uniB »

I just wanted to double check...

could someone confirm for me that this is the wire that runs from the fusebox to the pos terminal of the battery??

I took all the wiring out for the leisure battery and also cut this wire where it went into a world of wiring wonder that was the leisure battery, I'd now like to join it up again with the main van battery but wanted to properly check before I wired it up.

It is the only wire that runs to the fuse box from anything battery like so I assume it is!

Thanks!

The cable should be red and 6mm2. About the thickness of a thin pencil.
That one you have highlighted is far too thin and the wrong colours!

Thanks Mark, I thought it looked a bit flimsy!

But is it going to the correct terminal on the fusebox – i have some red 6mm so I can replace it.

The wire from the battery should be going to the terminals marked P (the thick red wires on the left of your picture).

Given that everything seems to work, lights, heater, windscreen wipers etc – does that mean that the red wire must be connected somewhere else other than the battery and I needn't worry about it any more?? And I guess I can disconnect the thin blue wire that's in the pic as that was doing something else to do with the leisure battery?

Thanks
Dav
