Fitting removable 'buddy' seat and thee point seat belts

Hello all - my first post!!

I have just bought the 1986 Leisuredrive Crusader High Top that I saw on this site (still showing in for vehicle for sale section!).

Really pleased, went through the MOT today so looking forward to enjoying the summer in our new purchase.

Like another recent post, I am also trying to squeeze 5 into this Van, but fortunately the three kids are small and absolutely love getting up into the high top!

Before we can really get camping in earnest, I need to fit an additional seat with a three point belt. Our van currently has a 'buddy' seat with porta potty underneath that I would like to replace with ideally a rear facing removable seat that will have a three point intertia belt fitted. I have seen in I think some westfalias the removable seat, which I would like to use. Does anyone know if this is possible to fit in my Van or if there is a better way to add an additional seat. Also, anyone know where I can buy the seat?

Next part of the question is three point belts on the back seat (rock and roll bed with two lap belts). Can I fit three points to this and if so how do I go about it?

Oh.. and I will also need a tailgate if anyone has one for sale!!

Hopfully this has not been covered too many times before as I am sure it is a common need for those of us crazy enough to take three kids camping!

Are you serious?

As has been said, apart from Devons and westies you have a panel van with no belt anchor points in the rear.. so you have to retro fit them and a specialist will do that unless your confident to do it your self
buy a rearward seat off e-bay (not cheap) and then get an inertia belt from any where really ..Brick-werks or the like

Thanks for that kevtherev! I had my suspicions that this may have been covered once or twice before - thanks for taking the time.

Does anone know of specialists in the Essex area (happy to travel outside of essex if need be) that can do this type of work - or does anyone (who has done this before) fancy earning a few quid to help me out with the fitting?!!?

I have one for sale, not too bad nick. It was fitted to my 1981 Autohomes. It has a small storage compartment underneath and swivel base. You can actually swivel it and recline the back and it turns into a handy bench seating 2 for dining. It was fitted with a lapbelt that used the passenger front mounts, personally you wouldn't need a three point as the seat faces the rear. It attaches to runners, included, that bolt through the floor.
