I have an oil strainer and a normal oil fiter.
Is the oil strainer passive, meaning if its blocked it wont block the flow of oil?
I have a new one somewhere so was thinking of replacing it as I am going to change the oil today
Cheers

Re: oil strainer thingy
If it's blocked it will slow the oil flow. It is designed that if it is blocked the top will pull down under suction from the oil pump allowing oil to flow over the top.
